Jackson State University’s Sonic Boom of the South band brought the sounds of New Orleans second line music to the halls of Batson Children’s Hospital, where patients, families, Children’s of Mississippi employees and band members paraded on Fat Tuesday. King Cake, purple and green juice boxes and Cajun-flavored snack chips completed the hospital’s salute to the Big Easy.
