Lindsay, Taylor named to 40 Under 40 university alumni

Dr. Dylan Lindsay, pharmacy supervisor in the Department of Pharmacy Services, and Dr. Charlotte Taylor, assistant professor of radiology at UMMC, are among the honorees of the University of Mississippi Alumni Association’s 40 Under 40 class for 2025.
The program “celebrates the personal, professional and philanthropic achievements of successful University of Mississippi graduates under the age of 40,” says the association’s website. They will be formally recognized on March 28 during a ceremony in Oxford.
“The Class of 2025 did not disappoint, boasting young alumni from Ole Miss with diverse careers in finance, health care, communications, higher education and governmental affairs,” Sunny Brown, the association’s assistant director of alumni affairs, said in a statement.
“It will be an honor to award this special group in March and allow our current students to network with all they have to offer.”
Lindsay, who received his BS in pharmaceutical sciences in 2011 and his Doctor of Pharmacy in 2014 from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy, oversees the clinic-based specialty pharmacy program staff for dermatology, infectious diseases and pediatric endocrinology at UMMC.
Among his previous honors and awards is PGY-2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency Preceptor of the Year in 2024 and the Innovative Health-Systems Pharmacy Practice Award from the Mississippi Society of Health-System Pharmacists in 2023. He was also named a Mississippi Business Journal Top 40 Under 40 Honoree in 2023.
“It is a tremendous honor to be recognized by the Ole Miss Alumni Association as a top 40 Under 40 awardee,” Lindsay said. “The university has a storied history of producing high-performing alumni within their respective fields post-graduation.
“Being credited as one such alumnus through Ole Miss is a highlight of my career to date.”
Taylor, a 2010 graduate of the University of Mississippi, earned her medical degree at the UMMC School of Medicine in 2014 before completing her residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in neuroradiology at the Medical Center. She earned the Department of Radiology’s Resident of the Year Award in 2018 and in 2019.
Taylor is also the assistant dean of Graduate Medical Education and vice chair of education and director of the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program at UMMC.
“This honor means a great deal to me as a third-generation Ole Miss graduate and proud Rebel fan, and I am proud to represent UMMC in this list of honorees,” Taylor said.
“With grandparents, my parents, my husband and both siblings graduating from Ole Miss, our family is proud of our alma mater and the opportunities and relationships built through our time at the institution. Hotty Toddy!”

Giesecke serving on board for children’s hospital network

Dr. Guy Giesecke, CEO of Children’s and Women’s Hospitals, is a member of the Children’s Hospitals Solutions for Patient Safety Board of Directors.
The organization is a network of approximately 150 children’s hospitals around the country that are working together to help hospitals progress on their journey to zero harm.
Board members represent children’s hospitals, including Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston; Boston Children’s Hospital; Cincinnati Children’s Hospital; Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio; Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida; Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood, Florida; and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
Giesecke graduated from Abilene Christian University with a business administration degree before earning a Master of Health Care Administration from the University of Houston and a Doctor of Health Administration from UMMC’s School of Health Related Professions. He has led Children’s of Mississippi since 2010.
Since then, the state’s only children’s hospital has more than doubled its square footage and opened a network of outpatient specialty clinics around the state to bring care closer to home for patients and their families.
