Whether you’re a child struggling with a life-threatening disease, an adult recovering from a transplant or a nurse at the end of a 12-hour shift, a friendly face is often the best medicine. But when you get a sweet nuzzle from the nose of a dog, it’s even better. Pet therapy brings joy and comfort to the UMMC family, especially to patients young and old.
