Insurance company presents $23,000 to Friends of Children's Hospital

JACKSON, Miss. – Employees from SouthGroup Insurance recently presented $23,000 to Friends of Children’s Hospital’s chairman of the board, Sara Ray, second from right and past president, Jackie Petrus, third from right.

The funds were raised at the 5th Annual SouthGroup Insurance Make A Difference 5K Run/Walk. For the past four years, SouthGroup employees from around the state have volunteered their time organizing each aspect of the race and donating all proceeds to Friends of Children’s Hospital. This year’s donation brings the total amount raised to $116,000.
