Dr. Keith I. Stokes, a board-certified family physician, will serve as the hospitalist, providing medical care to patients in the hospital. He previously worked part-time for HCHC.
A graduate of Jackson State University, Stokes earned the M.D. at Meharry Medical College in Nashville and completed residency training in family medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Dr. Satira Perry, also a board-certified family physician, will see patients at the family health clinic. A graduate of Xavier University in New Orleans, she earned the M.D. at Meharry Medical College and completed residency training in family medicine at UMMC. She previously worked at Care Plus, a family medicine clinic in Ridgeland.
Dewery Montgomery, chief operating officer at HCHC, said the new positions are greatly needed.
"This gives us additional resources that will provide health care to a county that is medically underserved," he said.
