Orthopaedic surgery resident garners national kudos

Steven Greene
Greene

Dr. Steven Greene, a University of Mississippi Medical Center orthopaedic surgery resident, was selected as one of four orthopaedic surgeons from across the country to take part in the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery’s (ABOS) Resident Advisory Panel.

Greene will serve two years and is part of the second cohort selected.  The ABOS Resident Advisory Panel assists the ABOS by providing information which will be used to support orthopaedic residents across the country. Panel members work with the ABOS Graduate Medical Education (GME) Committee and the ABOS Communications Task Force.

The goal is for the Advisory Panel to identify and work on a project each year that will benefit orthopaedic residents across the country.

The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery was founded in 1934 as a private, voluntary, nonprofit, independent organization to serve the best interests of the public and the medical profession by establishing standards for the education of orthopaedic surgeons.
