UMMC’s online MSN program rises to 33rd in the country in U.S. News & World Report list

The School of Nursing’s online MSN program holds the highest U.S. News & World Report ranking for any online MSN program in the state. This year’s ranking reflects a rise of five percentage points since 2022.

Whitlock, Boteler shine as School of Dentistry honorees

Dr. Acie Whitlock is an alumnus of the School of Dentistry, and Dr. William Boteler is a longtime faculty member. The school’s Dental Alumni Board is honoring them for their accomplishments and contributions – Whitlock as Dental Alumnus of the Year, and Boteler as Distinguished Friend of the Year.

Medical students turn Santa’s helpers for Children’s Safe Center

The School of Medicine child advocacy group UMMC CARES networked around the state and throughout the country to collect more than 800 toys for Children’s of Mississippi Safe Center patients. CARES, an acronym for Child Advocates Relentlessly Empowering Survivors, is working to raise awareness of the impact of adverse childhood experiences and the need for trauma-informed care.
