Vaccine Contraindication Questions

Updates have been made to the questions that appear with immunizations in Epic to more accurately display contraindication questions that go with each vaccine. The questions that appear with the immunizations now match the screening questions recommended by the CDC, which can be found at www.cdc.gov/vaccines.

CHIP and VFC Eligibility Questions

The VFC (Vaccines for Children) eligibility question that appears with immunizations for children 18 years of age and younger has recently been updated and will no longer include CHIP as an option. The CHIP program is now separate from the VFC program, and children that are eligible for CHIP are not considered eligible for VFC. CHIP is now a separate question from the VFC question that appears on immunizations, and is required for completing the administration.
