Ambulatory Nurses - New Quality Measures Sidebar
Effective 5/21/2019, there will be a new sidebar report for quality measure Best Practice Advisories (BPA’s) for ambulatory nurses and physicians. Initially there will be two BPA’s related to tobacco assessment and smoking cessation. Future quality BPA’s will also be added to this report.
Taking care of populations and closing care gaps is now made easy! The Quality Measures sidebar is now available to the health care team. This sidebar report houses best practice alerts (BPA) to ensure that we are addressing quality measures at each encounter appropriately. The quality sidebar has the added benefit of allowing the end user to address multiple care gaps in few clicks. The recommendations are defaulted to the appropriate selection choice and in one to two clicks, care gaps can be closed. The quality sidebar is available by default and allows for easy navigation and integration into the normal clinic workflow. The first two quality BPAs located in the sidebar focus on tobacco status assessment and cessation. Check out the tip sheet and give it a try with your next patient!
