In response to new Department of Health and Human Services laboratory reporting guidelines, the following required order questions will be added to all COVID-19 test orders. This information is required by the CARES Act and will be reported to HHS to assist in our country's public health response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Epic users will see changes in the Care Plan Activity in the August Epic Upgrade. To more effectively document and manage care plans, the care plan activity will be separated into three tabs:

DrFirst is a new medication management tool to improve the quality of the medication reconciliation (Med Rec) process. DrFirst provides a patient's medication dispense history from outside sources (pharmacies). DrFirst will assist with gaps or discrepancies of the patient reported medication usage during Med Rec. This tool be live in Epic with August update.
