Medications should be documented at the time of administration. In the event a medication is not documented appropriately at the time of administration, the nurse can update the medication administration details within 72 hours of original administration.

Immunization Required Fields
The Date, Time, Lot #, Manufacturer, NDC, Expiration Date, Site and Route are all required for documentation of administration of an immunization.

Site will be added as a required field for all medications with a route of injection, intramuscular, subcutaneous and intradermal.
