AVS No Longer Requires a Signature Effective March 15, 2021The signature line has been removed from the After Visit Summary (AVS) and only one copy should be printed. When you discharge an inpatient (hospital, Periop, Cath Lab, ED, and HOD areas), give one printed copy to the patient/caregiver. Document that you reviewed the AVS and provided a copy to either the patient or the caregiver in the Review of AVS section of your discharge navigator. Splint Monitoring Instructions Effective March 15, 2021Splint monitoring instructions and an assessment task will now appear on the nursing brain.
