Epic will undergo a scheduled quarterly upgrade on the night of December14, 2021. In preparation for the upgrade, we will enter a "Soft Freeze" period and then a "Build Freeze" period to update data behind the scenes that allows you to continue to use the system. 

"SoftFreeze" Period 

The Soft Freeze begins Monday, December6, 2021. You can continue to use Epic as normal. Build requests will be prioritized after the upgrade concludes on December 15. 

"TransparentLockdown" Period 

The Transparent Lockdown period will begin on Friday, December10 at noon. It will end when we begin the upgrade process on Tuesday, December14. During this time, you will be unable to make changes that customize certain aspects of your workflows. While this Lockdown is temporary, the following features will be unavailable: 

• Applying filters in Chart Review 
• Applying filters in work queues 
• Creating or editing SmartPhrases and SmartLinks 
• Creating or editing dashboards 
• Creating, Editing, and Sharing Notewriter Macros 
• Creating or editing Quick Actions 
• Saving SlicerDicer Sessions
• Moving Activities to a Sidebar or Floating Window
