Starting Wednesday, March 11th, the Constant Observation Orders will be combined to have a single order for most units. There is a question within the order to determine the reason for constant observation. If Suicide Risk is selected, an additional question asking about visitors will cascade. Visitation for patients at risk for suicide will be restricted unless otherwise ordered by their provider. The visitation status can be seen by nursing when acknowledging orders or reviewing the current orders.

Beginning Wednesday, March 11th, there will be a new documentation area in the history section to capture the patient's use of E-Cigarettes and Vaping devices.

In an effort to improve patient care, we have consolidated orders for tube placement. Effective March 16th, NUR 315 will be used to place an order for tube placement.
