Constant Observation Order Consolidated

Starting Wednesday, March 11th, the Constant Observation Orders will be combined to have a single order for most units. There is a question within the order to determine the reason for constant observation. If Suicide Risk is selected, an additional question asking about visitors will cascade. Visitation for patients at risk for suicide will be restricted unless otherwise ordered by their provider. The visitation status can be seen by nursing when acknowledging orders or reviewing the current orders. 

NOTE: Psychiatry (7E, 7W, and 3 Circle) floors will continue to use their Level I, III, and III observation orders. However, those orders will only be available for Psychiatry units to use, as of Wednesday, March 11th.
