On Tuesday, July 19, 2022, Patient Controlled Analgesia (PCA) ordering will convert from Adult or PED to weight-based for Fentanyl, Hydromorphone, and Morphine for the Jackson campus only. In addition, an order for a 'Clinician bolus from PCA syringe' will be available as an individual order. PCAs will still be ordered from the Panels section of Manage Orders: 

The order for the clinician bolus from PCA syringe will be found in the Medications section of Manage Orders. All order sets have been updated with the new weight-based panels. The clinician bolus will have to be ordered separately as a once order. This will allow the provider to order additional pain medication when needed.
