Workday Version Update Coming Soon
UMMC will upgrade to the latest version of Workday (2020R1) on March 7th. All Workday customers are on the same version of the system and these upgrades occur twice per year (March and September). The Workday Team (Analysts, Operations, Integrations) have been testing the new version for the last month in preparation for the upgrade. There will be over 300 new and improved enhancements coming in March. While most updates are not end-user facing, they do improve the performance and reporting capabilities of our system.
Some new features to mention:
Workday is updating the mobile user experience for self-service users on Android, iPad, and iPhone who access their payment and absence information.
- Pay App - Workday is improving how you review information with a detailed breakdown of updates, such as, intuitive tables and graphs. This helps you understand your pay information, reducing the need to zoom in to read detailed information.
- Time Off App - Workday will support start and end times when you request or correct your time off using Workday on Android, iPad, and iPhone, providing more consistency with the browser application. This will enable you to use Workday on mobile devices to request and correct time off that requires start and end times.
Workday will expand your quick expense editing capabilities and enable delegates to reassign quick expenses, ensuring quick expenses are accurately reported and assigned. This will help eliminate manual workarounds and expedite expense report submissions.
Additionally, there are some specific upgrades we need in this version for our Supply Chain go-live in April, and we're excited to get them!
