Isolation Mismatch BPAs for COVID-19
Published on Friday, April 24, 2020
Four BPAs have been developed to ensure that the correct isolation status is in place for a patient with a pending or positive COVID-19 test. If there is a mismatch, the BPA will fire to suggest adding the correction isolation status.
- These BPAs will fire when the SARS-CoV-2 order is entered on a patient or when entering the chart if there is a mismatch between the patient's infection status and isolation ordered.
- BPAs will fire only during hospital encounters.
- BPAs fire for Physicians, NPs, PA, Residents, and Fellows in any department.
- BPAs will fire for Anesthesiologists and CRNAs when logged into non-surgical departments.
Please refer to the Isolation Mismatch BPA tip sheet.
