Passing the Torch: Introducing Dr. Shannon Pittman

As we wrap up another successful Epic Quarterly Upgrade and dive head-first into the last of 2019, it's time for me to "pass the torch" to our new Chief Medical Information Officer, Dr. Shannon Pittman. Going forward, Dr. Pittman will send this "Provider Points" newsletter to your inbox every week.

As Chief Medical Officer Dr. Henderson stated in his campus email last week, Dr. Pittman will do an excellent job in this new role. She is already heavily involved in Epic, serving as the chair of the Epic Physician Oversight Committee since 2015 and as chair of our Epic Executive Leadership group.

We are absolutely thrilled to have her step into the CMIO spot and can't wait to see where her leadership takes us. Please join me in welcoming Dr. Pittman to this new role!
