Patient Safety Issue: Blood Orders for Red Blood Cells and Platelets

In an effort to increase patient safety:

When ordering blood products for Red Blood Cells, the orders are now on an order set. The individual order panels are no longer available:

If the patient's weight is 20 kg or less, the only option presented in the order set is blood product in mL's:

If the patient weighs greater than 20 kg, then blood products in both mL's and Units are presented from which to choose:

The remainder of the ordering process, once the blood product is selected, has not changed.
