JACKSON ONLY: New Name for Dexa Bone Density Scans

Beginning Monday, June 3, new orders will be available for Dexa bone density scans that are performed in the Pavilion under a new name: "Clinic Performed Dexa Scan."

The new Clinic Performed Dexa orders will enable the interpretation to be saved to the "Imaging" tab in Chart Review with the image-link to the Dexa summary report.

The previous order for DEXA SCAN (Procedure RHU1) will be removed from Epic (with the exception of the Orthopedic clinic).

Patients that are currently scheduled for a Dexa Scan will be updated by the Rheumatology department to the new order. Please call 601-984-5540 to schedule in Pavilion Suite F.

NOTE: This change affects the main campus in Jackson only. Grenada users will continue with their current workflow.
