Epic Quarterly Upgrade This Weekend!

On Saturday, February 9, all Epic applications will be unavailable until approximately 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 10 due to the scheduled Epic Quarterly Update.

Reminders:

Please review the red BCA binders and Epic downtime procedures
All Nursing units should print their downtime reports and MARs from the BCA computers at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday.
During the downtime, the SRO (Supports Read Only) icon will be pushed to all Epic workstations. You may use the icon to view information in Epic, but you will not be able to enter information until the downtime is complete.

Epic Update Schedule for this weekend:

Time	Description
10:30 p.m.	SRO Epic icon will appear on all desktops. This allows read-only access to all current information in Epic.
10:35 p.m.	An Epic Production reminder will be sent, reading: "Epic upgrade begins at 11:00 p.m."
10:55 p.m.	The last log-out reminder is sent. It will read: Please save your work and log out of Epic now. You will be automatically logged out at 11 p.m. You may log back into Epic via the Epic SRO icon. Please reboot any WOWs to be used during the downtime at this time.
11:00 p.m.	Begin downtime procedures; log into Epic-SRO.
~1:30 a.m.	Epic "All Clear" notification via email. Log out of SRO. User access will be restored, and you may log into Epic as normal.
