New Health Maintenance Topics Added in Ambulatory Workflow

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Screening 

Males 65-75 years old who are a current or former smoker and who have never been screened for AAA will be included for a one time screening.

If the patient is not a candidate for this screening, the “Not a candidate for AAA Screening” modifier can be applied to exclude the patient from this topic.

Lipid Screening

Patients who have a diagnosis of either diabetes, coronary artery disease, or ischemic vascular disease and have not had a LDL cholesterol test in the past year will be included.

The frequency of this topic is yearly and the patient can’t be excluded from this topic.
