New Pediatric and Adult Ventilator Orders
Providers now have a more streamlined approach to pediatric and adult ventilator orders. In an effort to simplify ordering, invasive and non-invasive ventilator orders for both Peds and Adults will each have separate orders. Additionally, new features have been added to the ventilator orders.
- A ventilator mode question has been added and when selected, other questions specific to that ventilator mode will populate. NOTE: Screen shot for Jackson Adult Vent Order. Order may vary by patient population and location.
- Providers will also have the ability to quickly and easily add an order for adult respiratory protocols within the adult ventilator order if needed.
During this transition, we recommend canceling existing vent orders and ordering the new vent orders. Only the new vent orders will be modifiable and existing vent orders will prompt the below error message.
New vent orders can be modified in the MangeOrders activity. Find the order, select Modify and change the vent settings as needed.
