Release of Sensitive Lab and Pathology Test Results to MyChart

Following the Epic upgrade on December 14th, lab, pathology, and imaging test results for both ambulatory and inpatients now automatically defaultto immediate release to the patient in MyChart. 

Sensitive lab, pathology and imaging results (identified within the order composer) are also defaulted to immediate release. However, the option exists to change the default on sensitive results to Manual Release Only when completing the order/request. If Manual Release Only is selected a hard stop requires documentation of a reason for not using immediate release.

Note: All manual release results will be auto released after 48 hours.
