Winter Storm Update
January 26, 2026
TO: UMMC Faculty, Staff and Students
FROM: Dr. Jonathan Wilson, Chief Administrative Officer
SUBJECT: Winter Storm Update
North Mississippi continues to be significantly impacted by a severe winter weather system. Central parts of the state are experiencing some icy conditions, with most roads drivable and few power outages.
As announced yesterday, clinics from Lexington and northward are closed today. These are the only Medical Center operations that are impacted. Normal business hours remain in all other areas, including regular class schedules.
