Power Outage on UMMC's Jackson Campus

SUBJECT: Power Outage on UMMC's Jackson Campus

This morning’s power outage was caused by failure of an on-campus transformer. UMMC Facilities Services crews have made the necessary repairs and power was restored to most of the areas that lost it around 12:20 p.m.

The one exception where power has still not been fully restored is the Guyton research tower. A mitigation plan is being developed for areas still without full power until permanent repairs can be made.
