Continued Impact of Weather on Medical Center Operations, Classes
February 17, 2021
TO: All UMMC Faculty, Staff and Students
FROM: Dr. Jonathan Wilson, Chief Administrative Officer
SUBJECT: Continued Impact of Weather on Medical Center Operations, Classes
I feel a bit like a broken record, but this memo will be very similar to the three sent each day prior to today: In-person work activities in non-essential patient care areas - and those units that provide direct support for clinical care that is continuing - and in-person classes and student activities are cancelled for tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 18.
UMMC employees who have direct patient-care duties or who are in a position that provides critical support for clinical care should expect to report for their regularly scheduled shifts unless told to do otherwise by their respective supervisor.
This morning, the City of Jackson Water/Sewer Utilities Division issued a city-wide precautionary boil water advisory until further notice. This notice will affect the following UMMC locations: Lakeland LP Building 764, Lakeland LI Building 838, Lakeland LM Building 882, Lakeland LN Building 880, Lakeland LK Building 876A, Lakeland LB Building 878, Lakeland LA Building 884, the Medical Towers and the Batson Specialty Clinic.
All other pertinent Medical Center operations information has not changed from what was sent in yesterday’s memo.
For more information about how this weather-related disruption to regular UMMC operations may affect you, please contact your direct supervisor.
And as always, please check your UMMC email regularly for important updates as they become available.
Thank you.
