UMMC and BCBSMS Reach Agreement
Friday, December 16, 2022
TO:UMMC Faculty and Staff
FROM:Dr. Alan Jones, Associate Vice Chancellor for Clinical Affairs
SUBJECT: UMMC and BCBSMS Reach Agreement
We have reached an agreement with Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi.
Effective December 15, 2022, all UMMC facilities, physicians and other individual Professional Providers are fully participating Network Providers for all Blue Cross commercial health plans, including federal and those from other states.
E-mails will go out today notifying our patients who are members of a Blue Cross commercial plan.
We understand that the past several months have been difficult and I appreciate the work our clinical departments, care teams and support staff have done to assist impacted patients. We look forward to strengthening or re-establishing relationships with Blue Cross health plan members.
Thank you.
