Scheduled Events to Affect Parking in Stadium Lots

SUBJECT: Scheduled Events to Affect Parking in Stadium Lots

I want to make you aware of several planned events scheduled for Veteran’s Memorial Stadium that will impact availability of parking in the stadium lots for UMMC personnel.

On the dates listed below (please note the first date listed is tomorrow), high school football will be held in the stadium. On these days, the stadium lots are open for UMMC personnel to park but please be advised that attendees of the event in the stadium will also be parking in those lots, so space may be more limited than normal. As an alternative to parking in a stadium lot, UMMC employees may park in an on-campus surface lot or request weekend parking access in Garage D, located next to the School of Dentistry, by emailing parking@umc.edu.

• Sept. 4, 2021                       High School Football
• Dec. 3-4, 2021                     High School Football Championships

On the dates listed below, college football or a band competition will be held in the stadium. On these days, the parking lots around the stadium are closed to parking for UMMC personnel. As an alternative to parking in a stadium lot, on the days listed below, UMMC personnel may park on campus in a surface lot or request permission to park in Garage D by emailing parking@umc.edu.

• Oct. 2, 2021                         College Marching Band Competition
• Oct. 16, 2021                       JSU football
• Oct. 23, 2021                       JSU football
• Nov. 6, 2021                        JSU football
• Nov. 20, 2021                      JSU football
