SWAC Championship to Affect Parking in Stadium Lots
November 29, 2022
TO:UMMC Faculty, Staff and Students
FROM:Dr. Jonathan Wilson, Chief Administrative Officer
SUBJECT: SWAC Championship to Affect Parking in Stadium Lots
The SWAC Conference Championship, featuring Jackson State versus Southern, will be hosted in Veteran’s Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 3 p.m. This game will impact UMMC employees and students who normally park in stadium lots on the weekends.
All UMMC personnel should remove vehicles parked in the southeast corner of the Overflow Lot marked in red in the diagram below by 6 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2. No vehicles should be parked in the Overflow Lot after 5:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, and ALL UMMC personnel vehicles should be removed from all stadium lots by 6 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3.
The Blue Line shuttle will adjust its route to add stops 9 and 10. This is shown in the below diagram.
As an alternative to parking in a stadium lot, UMMC employees and students may park in an on-campus surface lot or request weekend parking access in Garage D, located next to the School of Dentistry, by emailing parking@umc.edu.
For questions or more information, please email parking@umc.edu.
Thank you.
