Scheduled Events to Affect Parking in Stadium Lots

SUBJECT: Scheduled Events to Affect Parking in Stadium Lots

I want to make you aware of several planned events scheduled for Veteran’s Memorial Stadium that will impact availability of parking in the stadium lots for UMMC personnel.

On the dates listed below, high school or college football or a band competition will be held in the stadium. On these days, the parking lots around the stadium are closed to parking for UMMC personnel. As always, UMMC personnel working a night, weekend or holiday shift may park on campus in a surface lot or garage by emailing FacilitiesServices-Parking@umc.edu.

Additionally, on Friday evenings prior to JSU games, UMMC personnel must remove vehicles from the Stadium Overflow Lot by 5:30 p.m. to make the space available to set up for JSU tailgating activities.

• Sept. 3, 2022: Jackson Public School Football
• Sept. 17, 2022: Jackson State University Football
• Sept. 24, 2022: JSU Football
• Sept. 25, 2022: JSU Battle of The Bands
• Oct. 22, 2022: JSU football
• Oct. 29, 2022: JSU football
• (Tentative) Dec. 3, 2022: Southwestern Athletic Conference football championship

Any changes or updates to the above schedule, including if there are more events added to the stadium schedule that impacts UMMC personnel parking at the stadium, will be communicated through the UMMC Intranet. For questions or more information, please email FacilitiesServices-Parking@umc.edu.
