Potential afternoon traffic delays
Thursday, Nov. 9, 2022
TO:UMMC Faculty, Staff and Students
FROM:Dr. Jonathan Wilson, Chief Administrative Officer
SUBJECT: Potential afternoon traffic delays
UMMC Police and Public Safety Department has been made aware of a peaceful demonstration planned for today, from 3-6 p.m. at North State Street and Woodrow Wilson Avenue. While this demonstration is not related to UMMC, it may affect the traffic flow in and around the main campus.
UMMC Police and Public Safety will monitor this event and will increase the presence of UMMC Police to facilitate vehicular and pedestrian traffic flow on campus.
With the potential for traffic delays, it is recommended that employees and students use Lakeland Drive instead of Woodrow Wilson Avenue during this time.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact UMMC Police at 601-815-3072 or use the Alert U application to easily communicate and receive updates.
