Unauthorized Parking in Patient-Designated Areas
Friday, August 16, 2024
TO: All UMMC Faculty, Staff and Students
FROM: Dr. Jonathan Wilson, Chief Administrative Officer
SUBJECT: Unauthorized Parking in Patient-Designated Areas
We have seen an increase in UMMC faculty, staff and students parking in patient-designated areas, and we want to remind our campus community about our policy – found here – that prohibits this.
The concern for our patients and visitors is a priority, and when we park in spaces designated for them, we are preventing timely and convenient access to our facilities.
As outlined in policy, UMMC faculty, staff and students are expected to park in only their designated parking areas at all times. Parking in patient areas is reserved for those receiving care or accompanying patients.
Anyone violating this policy by parking in patient areas will be subject to citations and immobilization of their vehicle for each offense.
Additional information on UMMC parking can be found here.
