American Board of Lifestyle Medicine taps Dr. Naser Mohammedelamien

The John D. Bower School of Population Health is thrilled to announce that Dr. Naser Mohammedelamien has successfully passed the Lifestyle Medicine Certification Exam, earning him the distinction of Diplomate of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. This accolade adds to Dr. Mohammedelamien's already impressive credentials, as he is also Board Certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine.

Many in the Bower School community will recognize Dr. Mohammedelamien as a graduate of our renowned residency program and a former faculty member who made invaluable contributions during his time with us. Though he has since moved on to practice in Georgia, he remains a treasured member of the SOPH family.

"Dr. Mohammedelamien's accomplishment is a testament to his unwavering dedication to improving the health and well-being of individuals and communities," said Dr. Joshua Mann, Chair of the Department of Preventive Medicine. "We are enormously proud of his continued growth and success."

The Lifestyle Medicine Certification Exam is a rigorous assessment that evaluates a physician's knowledge and competence in utilizing lifestyle interventions to prevent, treat, and reverse chronic diseases. As a Diplomate, Dr. Mohammedelamien has demonstrated his expertise in areas such as nutrition, physical activity, sleep hygiene, stress management, and behavioral change.

This certification further solidifies Dr. Mohammedelamien's reputation as a leading authority in preventive and lifestyle medicine. His unique skillset and holistic approach to patient care have made him a valuable asset wherever he practices.
