Student Committees
Cultural Diversity Enhancement Committee
The Cultural Diversity Enhancement Committee is an appointed group that works with the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs. The committee’s charge is to research ways other institutions have improved diversity and create new ideas of how to improve the diversity of the school’s faculty and student body and share their findings with the dean and executive committee. They are active in the SOD organizing the annual SOD Christmas party and the annual softball tournament and crawfish boil.

Philanthropy Committee
The Philanthropy Committee is an appointed group that works with the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs. This committee is charged to provide humanitarianism and charitable assistance to selected organizations that are in need of service. They take leadership roles in Give Kids a Smile Day and community service events.
