Inclusive Excellence Impact Program: funding opportunities for health equity initiatives
The School of Population Health is excited to announce the availability of funding support through its Inclusive Excellence Impact Program (IEIP). This initiative offers one-year mini-grants of up to $2,500 to advance sustainable strategies and programs that enhance equitable and inclusive practices across the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC). Through the IEIP, faculty, staff, and students from any UMMC school, department, clinic, service area, or institutional-sponsored group are encouraged to apply for support in promoting health equity and positive outcomes for diverse and underserved populations.
Example projects include professional development on health equity and social determinants of health (SDOH), collaborative efforts to eliminate barriers for vulnerable communities, and practice interventions that improve patient access and satisfaction. Selected projects will be evaluated on criteria such as alignment with the program’s focus areas, evidence-based impact, team collaboration, and sustainability potential.
Applications are open until Friday, January 10, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., with selected applicants notified by January 22, 2025. Funded projects may begin on or after February 3, 2025.
