Dr. Kelly Wilkinson speaks at ASCO meeting

Dr. Kelly Wilkinson, associate professor of hematology and oncology and a CCRI clinician who specializes in gynecologic malignancies, malignant melanoma and gastrointestinal cancers, was among speakers at the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s August gathering in Memphis. 

ASCO is a major medical organization that helps cancer doctors stay up to date on research and provides guidance on how cancer should be treated.  The society hosts the ASCO Annual Meeting, where researchers and cancer specialists from around the world present new study results. News about promising cancer treatments often comes from research presented at this meeting.   

At the Best of ASCO meeting, Wilkinson presented "Best of ASCO: Ovarian Cancer." The meeting highlighted important research from the ASCO Annual Meeting.
