White coats presented to CCRI students

Three new students in the Cancer Biology and Therapeutics PhD program received white coats during a presentation by the School of Graduate Studies in the Health Sciences at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, signifying the start of their studies. 

Receiving white coats were Tanvi Thakur, Sushma Bhavani Pulipati and Todd Goudeau. They have joined second-year students Rhea Kishore and Landon Wiggins. 

“Receiving a white coat marks the beginning of a journey shaped by curiosity, commitment and purpose,” said Dr. Seema Singh, CCRI associate director of education and training and director of the Cancer Biology and Therapeutics program. “We are proud to welcome these students as they take their first steps into cancer research that will make a difference for Mississippi and beyond.”
