CCRI members to speak at NCI workshop in July

CCRI members Dr. Pier Paolo Claudio, professor of pharmacology and toxicology, and Dr. Candace Howard, professor of radiology and pediatrics, will discuss functional precision medicine (FPM) during Precision in Practice: A Functional Medicine Workshop, to be hosted by the National Cancer Institute July 1-2 in Rockville, Maryland.
The workshop will review progress being made in the clinical deployment of FPM.

Claudio will be part of a discussion panel on formats for FPM testing, including cell culture models, culture conditions and patient-derived xenograph models.
Howard will be included in a section featuring future leaders who are actively translating FPM into predictive diagnostic/prognostic platforms and clinical trials.
Faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to attend virtually and support our colleagues as they contribute to this important national conversation. Register by June 29 to attend the free sessions virtually.
