Ann Young is February’s Employee of the Month
Ann Young, a data quality analyst at the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at UMMC, is February’s Employee of the Month at CCRI.
“Ann is dedicated, and her work ethic is outstanding,” said Romy Aguilar, manager of business operations at the BMT Unit. “She has worked at UMMC her entire career, celebrating her 30th year earlier in 2025. Her job is a very square peg that in no way can be forced into a round hole. She makes it appear easy. But, make no mistake, her job is a lot of things, but easy is not anywhere on the list. The work she produces allows our Bone Marrow Transplant Program to be ranked as one of the top data reporting centers. That is a true accomplishment.
"This statement came directly from the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant (CIBMTR) audit results. ‘To pass a CIBMTR audit, the critical field error rate must be less than or equal to 3%. Your center passed (with corrective action) the audit with a critical field error rate of 0.5%.’ The BMT Program is lucky and very happy to have Ann on our team. We all hope to celebrate Ann’s 40th year (or greater) at UMMC.”
