Dr. Carter Milner honored as Master Clinician

Dr. Carter Milner, professor of hematology and oncology and a CCRI specialist in immunotherapy in cancer treatment, was presented the Master Clinician Award by the UMMC Department of Medicine. 

An alumna of the UMMC School of Medicine and the University of Mississippi, Milner provides advanced cancer treatments including CAR T and Bispecific T-Cell Engager (BiTE) therapies and bone marrow transplants to CCRI patients. Her research has been published in the New England Journal of Medicine, Transplantation and Cellular Therapy, Haematologica, Blood and Cureus, among others. 

Others honored include Dr. Neville R. Dossabhoy, Mentoring Award; Dr. Katharine “Kathy” T. Gregg, Outstanding Service Faculty; Dimitra Kefalogianni, Outstanding Service Staff Award; and Dr. S. Calvin Thigpen, Educator and Teacher Award.
