New Employee Spotlight: Gillian Goodloe

The Cancer Center and Research Institute welcomes Gillian Goodloe, project manager II in community outreach and engagement.

Goodloe joined UMMC about three and a half years ago, starting in dermatology and then moving to preventive medicine. Her outreach role fits her personality and professional skills.

"I enjoy connecting with people and learning about their stories,” she said. “This space is so unique and multifaceted, and I look forward to using my passion for people and meaningful connections to help foster relationships.”

A two-time graduate of Mississippi State University, Goodloe earned an undergraduate degree in biology and a master’s degree in health promotion.

CCRI’s mission drew her to her new role at the Medical Center, she said.

“I am committed to being part of the work that is going into establishing presence, creating synergy, building up community capacity and ultimately contributing to reducing the burden of cancer,” she said.

Goodloe has lived in Mississippi all her life, graduating from Ridgeland High School. She and her family live in Madison County.
