Director's message

As we step into a new year, we are excited to embark on fresh efforts and celebrate new achievements in our mission to transform cancer care through education, research and innovation. One of our most significant accomplishments this year will be the initiation of a new graduate track in cancer biology to prepare and train the next generation of leaders in oncology research and treatment, while equipping them with the tools to address the complexities of cancer and emerging challenges in the field.

Our research efforts remain impactful and are demonstrated by a $1.4 million grant secured from the U.S. Department of Defense to investigate the biological factors driving prostate cancer and racial disparities in outcomes. We are also honored to receive multiple prestigious awards at the American Cancer Society Awards Luncheon, recognizing the unwavering commitment of our faculty, staff and students to excellence, innovation and partnership in cancer care and prevention.

I’m proud of the milestones we’ve achieved in 2024 and look forward to building on this momentum in the year ahead. Together, we will achieve even greater milestones. Thank you for your ongoing support and dedication to our mission!
