Message from the Dean
The past three months have been an amazing experience as I have seen our SON continue on a path of excellence and success. It is exciting to see wonderful outcomes from committed faculty, staff and students. It is hard to believe that we are midway through the fall semester. We have strong enrollment numbers with a current enrollment of 873. Out of that number, we are preparing 347 pre-licensure BSN students.
On November 3, we will celebrate the School of Nursing’s 75th Anniversary and the positive impact our graduates have made on health care in Mississippi and beyond. The SON remains committed to integrating our mission “to develop nurse leaders and improve health within and beyond Mississippi through excellence in education, research, practice and service” in all we do. The University of Mississippi Medical Center’s Day of Giving will be held on November 9. This is a great opportunity for you to support the SON and the next generation of nurse leaders. Your donation can make a difference - no gift is too small to make an impact.
