As I consider our upcoming year, I think about the importance of renewal. Merriam-Webster defines renewal as, "to make like new, regenerate, revive, resume, replenish." I hope you have returned from the holiday break recharged and that your new year is off to a great start.
Noah Sasser graduated Friday from the Accelerated BSN program at the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Nursing, where professors and preceptors have “instilled a confidence in me that has me excited to begin my career.” Sasser plans to work in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at UMMC.
The Nursing and Health Care Administrator track of the MSN program at the UMMC School of Nursing prepares nurses to lead at all levels in health care. Robert C. Weathersby is an excellent example of a nurse leading at the executive level.
The School of Nursing ended the 2022 recruitment season by engaging with thousands of 8th graders, high school, and Opportunity Youth students at the Pathways2Possibilities: P2P Central Mississippi Career Expo. Opportunity Youth students consist of students ages 16-24 from a variety of workforce development and alternative education programs.
