Kind, caring, and compassionate!

These are just a few words that describes Treasie Williams.

Treasie has been working at UMMC for the past 25 years and with the School of Nursing for the last 14 as a driver and administrative assistant for the Mercy Delta Express (MDE). She was recruited to drive the mobile health clinic to the MS Delta at the beginning of her tenure at the SON but after a few years, it was obvious that Treasie had many other talents and became an administrative assistant for the MDE.

Dr. Lisa Haynie, the director of the MDE describes Treasie as, "invaluable to the project and is an inspiration to all who know her. She has a true servant’s heart and is always seeking opportunities to help others."

Treasie is responsible for driving the UMMC medical students, nursing students, and residents to the school-based health clinics located in Sharkey-Issaquena counties for their interprofessional rural health experience as well as delivering food from the Mississippi Food Network to the children in the MS Delta.

To know Treasie is to love Treasie! Thank you for your service! You are appreciated for all you do for the SON and our school clinics!
