Promoting Excellence in Health Care

Building and sustaining a diverse health care workforce is essential to ensuring a rich and fully empowered health system. Our Medical Center is positioned to maximize health services throughout the state, in order to meet the needs of the underserved and eliminate health and health care disparities.

By using our workforce as a vessel for ensuring that quality is the No. 1 priority, we are able to uphold our values by including all from different backgrounds and varying perspectives in decision-making processes. The Office of Diversity and Inclusion supports the clinical mission of the medical center through promotion of initiatives geared toward health equity and partnering with internal and external stakeholders involved in efforts for building competencies of staff in treating populations we serve.
