Stacy Baldwin

Chief Integrity Officer

Portrait of Stacy BaldwinStacy Baldwin assumed the role of chief integrity officer July 1, 2022. In this role, she will lead UMMC’s offices of Integrity and Compliance, Contracts Administration, Information Security and Policy.

Baldwin has served as the Medical Center’s executive director of the Office of Integrity and Compliance since June 2018. In that role, she has worked diligently to enhance the institution’s compliance program by updating the UMMC Compliance Plan, restructuring the compliance committees and reorganizing the Office of Integrity and Compliance, which included building a compliance team that focuses on working collaboratively with our workforce.

Baldwin served as founding director of the UMMC Office of Contracts Administration from July 2011-August 2017, when she managed all contracts-related staff, facilitated the development of an electronic contract submission process and developed and implemented contract policies. She worked closely with the Board of Trustees of the Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning and their executive staff in facilitating the approval of the Medical Center’s contracts. Stacy also coordinated both internal and external audits of institutional contracts and contracting processes.

As director of the Office of Integrity and Compliance and the UMMC Privacy Officer from April 2002-July 2011, Baldwin led the internal monitoring and auditing of UMMC’s compliance with federal and state health care regulations and policies, including those of Medicare and Medicaid and served as a member of UMMC’s Institutional Review Board.

She received her degree in Health Information Administration from UMMC and has held positions at UMMC since 1994. She is a member of the Health Care Compliance Association as well as the American Health Lawyers Association.
