School of Nursing: New Building Campaign
Founded in 1948, the School of Nursing baccalaureate nursing program was founded at the University of Mississippi in Oxford. Now, 75 years later, construction is set to begin on a new state–of–the–art home for the nursing school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson, MS.
This new space will dramatically enhance the educational offerings through cutting-edge simulation and skills labs, research space, classrooms, conference rooms, study and lounge areas, and a 200-seat auditorium. This expansion will allow UMMC to increase nursing graduates in the state of Mississippi by 25%, adding thousands of nursing professionals to care for our community for decades to come. Read more on the project here.
We are raising $10 million in private philanthropy to complete this project. To help support, contact Harold Brewer at hbrewer@umc.edu or 601-815-3738.
You may also donate online and select Nursing Building Fund for the designation.
